July 3-4^th – Rocky Mountains – Two day tour to Kananaskis

            Hike into the Rocky Mountains of Alberta on this two-day trip to Kananaskis Country.  Bring your butterfly nets along with you as we tour Jumping Pound Ridge, a popular field destination among University of Alberta researchers studying the Rocky Mountain Apollo, Parnassius smintheus.

Trip Itinerary:

            DAY 1

            Depart from the University of Alberta's Lister centre for a hostel situated near       Jumpingpound Mountain. Explore the area around the hostel or visit nearby trails or

lakes.  

            DAY 2

            Hike up Jumpingpound Ridge and return to the University of Alberta.

Cost estimates*:

            $130.00 / individual

            *Cost estimates are based on the assumption that ICBB guests participating will number 30 in total, and includes transportation, accommodations and food with the exception of dinner on the evening of July 3^rd when we will visit a nearby restaurant.
