The 6th International Conference on the Biology of Butterflies took place June 29 to July 2, 2010, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and was sponsored by the Department of Biological Sciences, University of Alberta. With 205 delegates from over 23 countries, a diverse assortment of oral and poster presentations made this conference academically stimulating and intellectually engaging.
The long-standing theme of this conference series, the biology of butterflies, focuses attention on recent developments in biology that rely on butterflies as research models, particularly in ecology and evolutionary biology.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the ICBB 2010! It was a pleasure to host the conference at the University of Alberta, and we hope everyone enjoyed his or her stay.
